Which lightener to choose?

Once you and your client have decided on level, tone and placement take into consideration their hair type, structure, and texture when choosing a lightener.

White Lightener

This white powder lightener is ideal for colour corrections or when creating warm or natural tones. *Up to 7 levels of lift.

Blue Lightener

Ideal for counteracting warmth and creating cool, platinum, or icy results. Use Blue Lightener on clients who naturally pull warm and are looking to achieve a neutral brunette or platinum blonde finish. *Up to 7 levels of lift.

Ultra Lightener

Ultra Lightener is formulated with a white powder lightener ideal for resistant bases, coarse hair, or when extra lift is needed. *Up to 9 levels of lift.

Charcoal Cream Lightener

Save time with the ability to lift and tone simultaneously. Charcoal Cream Lightener purifies the hair to ensure the lightened result is free of unwanted warm tones. When applied to levels 1-5, hair will be pre-toned to a natural color result. When applied to levels 6 or lighter, it will create an ash tone result. *Up to 9 levels of lift.

The Formulas:

Formula A: Aloxxi Blonde78™ Charcoal Cream LIGHTENER with 30 Vol. DEVELOPER
Formula B: Aloxxi Blonde78™ Charcoal Cream LIGHTENER with 20 Vol. DEVELOPER
Formula C: Aloxxi TONES® 15 grams 9NA + 15 grams 9V + 30 Grams with 7 Vol. ACTIVATOR

The Steps:

STEP 1: Apply COLOURPRIME® Pre-Color Treatment.

STEP 2: Start ½ inch away from the scalp and use paper thin slices to apply Formula A. Start at the darkest area first. Fold foil into packets working from the bottom up for efficiency.

STEP 3: Apply Formula B to the base. Develop for a maximum of 50 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly and apply COLOURLOCK® Post-Color Finisher or Violet Shampoo as a flash toner. If using Violet Shampoo, make sure to saturate the hair for an even result.

STEP 4: Apply Formula C from the base through the mid-lengths and ends. Develop for a maximum of 20 minutes (this result was created in 10). Then rinse thoroughly and apply COLOURLOCK® Post-Color Finisher.

STEP 5: Apply INSTABOOST® Conditioning Colour Masque in Ultimate Platinum for a more intense cool result or retail to your client to maintain results at home.
